Chemical weeding project in Dorset

Utilising the quad to assist with spraying

Peter Hart Tree Services are working on a Forestry Commission contract in Wareham, Dorset to control and prevent the re-growth of Rhododendron, European Gorse and Birch on previously mulched areas of the Wareham Beat.

As part of the on going heathland restoration project taking place in this area we are using chemical weeding (spraying) to target the unwanted species and retain plants species such as the Heathers and Dwarf Gorse.

As Forestry Commission approved contractors we have met the required health and safety standards and hold the correct certification to safely handle, mix and apply pesticides.
